Simply said: We Care about You! SCC
offers all electricians a comprehensive benefits and bonus plan. We
know there is more to a job than a check at the end of each week.
Electricians should know we look out for our
team members. Benefits and an
industry leading bonus program include:
Paid Vacation
One week (40 hours) of paid vacation is
afforded after each work-year worked or 1980 hours
accumulated
Paid
Holidays After 180 days worked, we
pay 6 major holidays. These include New Year's Day,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and
Christmas Day.
Per Diem and/or Paid
Lodging
Per diem and/or paid lodging is offered under many
circumstances. Every reason can not be covered here but, be assured
electricians will be offered this benefit when warranted.
Periodic Wage
Increases
Our most motivated and
productive electricians are afforded periodic wage
increases. In-line with our merit shop philosophy, wage
increases are determined on a case-by-case, per employee
basis.
Best Possible Starting
Wages
As a dedicated professional you deserve the best
pay for your skill level and experience. We will always keep
your interests in mind. We know an underpaid worker is going to be
less productive and ultimately not focused on the task at hand. Your
wage will either be determined by the Federal or State
government and set at the prevailing rate for your skill category
(as prescribed by the Davis-Bacon Act); or you will be paid
according to the job market parameters in the private sector (merit
shop). For the latter, we will make every attempt to offer a
competitive hourly wage to you. Sometimes, we can only
communicate what a contractor is paying and therefore can offer you
their wage. In this instance, you decide if it is
acceptable.
Travel Pay
Prior approval is required to
qualify for travel pay. This may be offered on a case-by-case basis
for travel to remote locations.
Outstanding Bonus
Program
A $1.00 an hour bonus is paid and
is awarded upon each completed job assignment. SCC
consistently pays bonus money to the majority of our electricians.
Reliability, sound on-the-job safety practices, and a
willingness to stick with the job until it is completed are the
three areas evaluated. The bonus is accumulated and shown on each
week's pay statement. The final check of the contract contains the
bonus paid. If the electrician is reassigned to another job
site under a new contractor, the new bonus pay starts to
accumulate immediately.
A bonus is paid to each of our electricians upon
completion of a job and is based upon the following:
Attendance: $.50
per hour is paid if the electrician works all hours offered during a
weekly pay period.
Safety:
$0.25 per hour is paid if the electrician has no time off due
to accidents and/or
accident- related
insurance claims for the duration of the job.
Completion: $0.25 per
hour is paid if the job is completed.
Electronic
Funds Transfer (Direct Deposit)
SCC offers and
encourages direct deposit of weekly pay. We only need one day
notice and receipt of the required paperwork prior to the end
of a pay period to set up direct deposit. The advantages of
direct deposit include the ability to use your current ATM card,
Checking account, or other bank account access
cards
to withdrawal funds versus waiting in line to cash checks each
week.
Health
Insurance
SCC offers all employees voluntary
and affordable health insurance. The insurance is
also portable. This means you can stay covered in-between jobs
and during periods when you are not working. The insurance is
guaranteed to be issued and renewed.
The following information offers you a
choice of 3 medical plans, a dental network program, a term life insurance option, and a cancer policy. All of these
benefits are voluntary, and include the
following features:
Attractive, affordable
and stable rates, with access to a P.P.O. network option to further
reduce medical expenses.
Guaranteed policy issue for medical,
dental and life options to age 69 (age 65 regarding the term life).
You will not be turned down for medical reasons during the open
enrollment period (first 30 days after employment). The cancer
policy does have certain minimal qualifying requirements. You will
be the owner of this policy, with its guaranteed renewability
feature, regardless of your future employment situation.
No “co-ordination of
benefits” clause. You may own other medical coverage without penalty
or reduction of benefits. No deductible (except for accident
coverage: $100 deductible). No enrollment or set up fees. Open
cancellation feature, with no policy cancellation charges.
Choice of multiple plan
designs and dependent coverage options.
No age
adjusted rates for medical or dental. All participants will pay the
same monthly premium, regardless of age (except for term life
option).
